based at our 12 acre site, in Danbury, Essex.

Our highly skilled and trained team of machinists ensures that this
equipment is used to its fullest potential for the benefit of our
customers.
The Powermat 500 is a 300mm wide machine for wide boards and has
six heads for flexible production. It features PowerLock tooling
for fast tool changes and tool speeds of 8,000rpm ensure far greater
productivity than conventional moulders, with outstanding finish.
It has a PowerCom (Plus) touch screen for monitoring production
efficiency.
The Powermat 1000 is a 230mm wide machine, which has a similar specification
to the Powermat 500, but spindle speeds are higher at 12,000rpm,
providing faster throughput and considerably more production than
conventional moulders. Both moulders are directly linked to the
computer and PowerCom software in the tool room, so that all tool
and profile data is transferred automatically to the respective
PowerCom touch screens, providing a 'paperless system'. The system
also has a direct modem link to Weinig Germany providing immediate
assistance as required.

Laminating

The latest “Taylor” Laminating Press enables us to offer bespoke laminating and edge-gluing to our customers' specifications.
Laminating of hardwoods and softwoods - Lengths up to 5m, Widths 900mm, Thickness up to 150mm.
Sawing Services

Crosscutting, re-sawing, multi-ripping, line edging, sawing to width
all undertaken on the most modern sawing machinery.
Pre-Straightening

All Brooks Bros timber is pre-straightened,
prior to machining, in order to ensure a perfect finish to the customers'
tolerances.
Moulding

All
types of hardwoods, clear softwoods, MDF, as well as joinery quality
redwoods.
Milling

State-of-the-Art
milling facilities enable Brooks Bros to provide fast, accurate
and competitively priced profiles, nationwide, in softwoods or hardwoods
to customers' demanding specifications. Balustrades, skirtings,
handrails, architraves or bespoke sections, not available in the
vast standard ranges, can be manufactured to the highest quality,
with a fast turnaround and at a competitive price
Lacquering
Priming

Unpainted,
raw, woods should be primed. Primer can be used on almost any timber
surface, hardwood, or softwood, but a different kind of primer is
recommended for each. Brooks Bros prime their timber with the correct
variant for the species
Kiln
Drying

modern drying kilns ensure that Brooks Bros' timber is accurately
dried to the correct moisture content. The kilns have a capacity
of 1300m³.
Machine
Finishing

To
the highest possible standard of quality and finish, Brooks Bros
offer a state of the art moulding facility based at our 12 acre
site, in Danbury, Essex. Over £1m has been invested in this facility
to ensure that the machined hardwood and softwood components comply
with the most stringent tolerances demanded by customers
Foil Wrapping

Matching the colours of natural timber and other materials using
the latest foil wrapping technology. Picture frames and other mouldings/profiles
achieve an enhanced aesthetic appeal using this modern technique.
